Swimming can be one of the healthiest exercises that young athletes can participate in. But, if your child experiences pain while swimming, it can be very frustrating and difficult. At CHKD, we have pediatric sports medicine physicians who have expertise in swimming injuries and are available to examine swimmers and determine a plan for treatment. We also offer swimmers a video swim stroke analysis to help identify technique errors that may be contributing to pain or poor performance. We provide each swimmer with a video of their swimming stroke from multiple angles and our observations on technique errors. Swimmers can bring this information back to their coaches to work together on improving technique errors and maximizing performance. No physician referral required for this service. Cost $150.
